Feasty Weekend

Last Friday, my friend Sarah and I got together at her place to feast and watch a Harry Potter installment. We spent the first bit in SaveOnFoods, ingredient hunting and looking for a non-existent 10″ square cake pan. When we got home we had a quick and delicious breakfast of Eggo waffles, tea, and coffee. I like that we have different waffle eating styles. Guess which one is mine!

Three waffles and we’re ready to make some real food; JoytheBaker’s Strawberry Coffee Cake. I highly recommend her blog. She makes me think of food all day, which is more than okay with me.
After a few hours of measuring, stirring, and ovening our masterpiece emerged!

Strawberry Coffee Cake!

I only ate two giant pieces during the Goblet of Fire. And chips and wine. After the movie ended and I was thoroughly emotionally distraught, so we thought it would be a good time to MAKE MORE FOOD! Our final feast of the day was Bruschetta. We made it together before and I feel it’s going to be a MeteoroidMadix staple.

Mmmm

Here’s a picture of Sarah’s perfect north facing living room, aka my studio for the day. =)

I’ve made that strawberry cake by Joy at least 4 times in the last few months, it’s divine. Sarah reorganized her living room, it looks fantastic! Man I miss that place (and that Sarah). I want to be part of your adventures some time too please!

It’s changed even more now since this picture!
And you are definitely invited to any future adventures. It will hopefully involve cake!
